How accurate is your guide data?

Not very would be my assumption.

Checking series recordings for this upcoming week we find that “Friends” is no longer being shown on Channel 10 at 7pm. Many will not be impressed, it seems they’ve replaced “Friends” with “Bondi Rescue”.

Interestingly on checking the description for “Bondi Rescue” the text reads about a variety of scenarios that play out between the main characters of “Monica, Chandler, Joe, Phoebe, Rachel and Ross”!!!

Who’d realised “Bondi Rescue” had a cast change!

Be warned. The stations will use any tactic they can to circumvent your scheduled recordings. Including changing show titles to something completely different to what is actually being broadcast.

Just remember though that FreeTV “are not aware of any issues with the quality of the guide data being broadcast“. Further to that the ACMA “are not aware of any failures“.

We’re sick of being treated like fools and criminals. Aren’t you?

IceTV today got leave to appeal the copyright case to the High Court.

As the guy who had the idea, some 20 years ago, to recreate the TV guide by observation and prediction, I’ve written some thoughts about the whole sorry saga on my blog http://www.vogelross.com.au/vrblog
